"MAKING THE LEAP TO REMARKABLE" Through Achieving the CAP-OM!

Those of you already studying for the May 4 -5, 2012 certification exams – I heartily applaud your initiative and personal “pro-activism” to independently get started! In order to assist you in this most excellent endeavor, I am glad to coordinate a study group if you feel this will be useful for you. Contact me at helenjross@comcast.net or on my cell 253.208.2182 and we will get this set up. Likewise if you have already established a group, please let me know so that I can direct other interested members your way to join in the studying fun!

Best of luck to all you future CAPs!

Jacqueline, what company do you work for, and how long have you worked there?
I work for Starbucks Coffee Company and have been there for almost two years.

Name the main essential functions of your job.
I am the ambassador for the office of the US & Americas, scheduling meetings and events, making travel arrangements, and reconciling expenses.

How many years have you been a member of IAAP and what prompted you to join?
I have been a member since 2002.  I learned about IAAP by attending training provided by another association.

Tell us about your educational background.
I have an Early Childhood Education degree from Bellevue College, and a Business Management degree from the University of Phoenix.

Describe something unique or not commonly known about yourself.
I am a grandmother of two adorable little boys, Ben and Noah.  My grandson Ben was born the night our chapter and division were involved with hosting our IAAP Leadership Meeting back in 2008 at Bellevue College when I was the WA-AK Division President.

I am secretary for the Washington State Parliamentarians.  I am also involved with a local parliamentary unit called Point of Order.  I am currently the Legislative Chair for the Business Professional Women organization in our state.

What is your favorite place you've visited?
I really enjoyed touring Montreal.  It is such a beautiful city with lots of old buildings and charm.
