WELCOME



The Lake Washington East Chapter is a vibrant, positive group of career-minded administrative professionals dedicated to helping those in our profession improve their career life. We provide many opportunities for growth through education, community building and leadership development. Our high standards for excellence is maintained through communication and commitment.


We meet once a month on the third Wednesday of each month, September through June at the Hyatt house in Bellevue. Our dinner meeting features a speaker of topical interest for administrative professionals and a tasty buffet meal.  Our programs for the year are sure to capture your interests. Join us to begin receiving the many benefits of IAAP!   We will help direct you to the achievement credentials of being a Certified Administrative Professional (CAP).  Please be sure to see the article here for information about our meeting and how to sign up to attend.

"Communictions and Generations"

Presented by
Kristi Rotvold

Kristi will explain how multi-generations can best learn to work together. How to be compatible with a diverse group of people with different outlooks, work ethics, authority, leadership, and relationships.

This program will give us additional skills on how to work with the different generations found in our workplace.  This will promote an atmosphere of greater communication skills in a variety of areas.  Kristi is a powerful speaker who is the current IAAP International Secretary, and former NW District Director.  Ms. Rotvold will share her experiences with us on how to bridge the gap between generations.

Multi-Generations in the workplace:
Veterans, Baby Boomers, Xers, and Nexters (Y)
Defining each, how they are as workers, and how to train them.

Summary of each:
Outlook and Work Ethic
Authority and Leadership 
Relationships and Turnoffs 

Recertification point is available.

This year's Forum will be held on May 17-19, 2013. Registration are available and the forum will be held at the
Hilton Garden Inn in Bothell in the Canyon Park area.  Hotels reservations can be made now.
